MORE THAN CONQUERORS (part 2)

Rom 8:37 - No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

What it means to be More than Conquerors:

1) We have been FORGIVEN from our SINS.

We are made more than conquerors because Jesus has already conquered our sins by His death on the cross. He declared: “It is Finish!” If you believe in Christ, than you got to believe in His finished work on the cross. Your sins has been dealt with and you are the righteousness of God in Christ (Romans 3:28 For we maintain that it is as the result of faith that a man is held to be righteous, apart from actions done in obedience to Law.) ( Luke 15:7 I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.) (Matthew 12:37 for from thy words thou shalt be declared righteous and from thy words thou shalt be declared unrighteous.)

2) We have LIFE in abundance to live to the fullest in Christ Jesus.

(Jh 10:10)

The enemy will come to steal, kill and destroy our victory, our faith, our joy etc. … but don’t give up, just stand on your victory ground – that has been purchased by the blood of the Lamb of God – and keep declaring that Jesus came to give you LIFE and give you life to the fullest.

3) We have full AUTHORITY to overcome every enemy of the TRUTH. (Jh 8:32 – You shall know the truth and the Truth will set you free.)

Get rid of Fear – the enemy of Faith

(Rise up and resist the FEAR of failure, sickness, death, darkness, condemnation and every lies of the devil. Take the shield of FAITH (Eph. 6:16) and overcome your fears like a hero.)

Luke 10:19 Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall in any wise hurt you.

Scorpions - The scorpion is an animal with eight feet, eight eyes and a long jointed tail, ending in a pointed weapon or sting. It is found in tropical climates, and seldom exceeds 4 inches in length. Its sting is extremely poisonous, and it is sometimes fatal to life. It is in Scripture the emblem of malicious and crafty men.

Behold, I give you power to tread on serpents and scorpions,.... Which may be literally understood, as in Mark 16:18, or figuratively of the devil, and his principalities and powers, and all his emissaries, who, for their craft and cunning, and for their poisonous and hurtful nature and influence, may be compared to serpents and scorpions.

To tread on serpents and scorpions. Evidently an allusion to the promise that the seed of woman shall bruise the serpent's head (Ge 3:15).

Friends, it is a promise of victory over the power of sin and victory over all the power of the enemy. The connection shows that it is symbolical.

You are a CONQUEROR no matter what. It is clearly said in:

Psa 91:13 LITV You shall tread on the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent You shall trample under foot.

Mar 16:18 LITV they will take up snakes; and if they drink anything deadly, it will in no way hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will be well.

DECLARATION OF A CONQUEROR:

we are more than conquerors through him that loved us because…

Jesus said: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? Romans 8:35

But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:57

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Galatians 2:20

and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:2

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood, Revelation 1:5

Be all glory, power and praise now and forever… Amen!

(Watch the video clip of a father who runs with his injured son to the finishing line at the sports arena as to show his moral support.)

Conclusion:

In the same manner, God our Father will always run with us in our weaknesses to help us to finish the race. Though we are weak, He is strong in us. To Him we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.

MORE THAN CONQUERORS (part 1)

Romans 8: 37

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

We may face trials, temptations and even setbacks but the Word of God says clearly that in all these things (no matter what - all means all - you name it) we are more than conquerors.

We are not going to become conquerors but already are. Victory is ours! We are not trying or manipulating our way to be victorious but already on the victory ground. We are not supposed to pray for victory … we should be praising God for the victory in Christ Jesus. We don’t have to fight for victory but fight from the victory that Christ has obtained for us through His death and resurrection. We grow from glory to glory. Amen!

Now to make this point clear; you are already a victor even before you were born. You defeated about 200 million sells that travelled from your father’s sperm to touch your mother’s egg.

You are a Conqueror when you hit the mark to be formed in your mother’s womb. YOU are UNIQUE! Isn’t that amazing?

Gideon defeats a Midianite army of 120,000 with only 300 soldiers, with torches and pitchers –

In - Judges 7 – you will find out the secret of his success:

* Gideon did not have to fight but just believe in God. (We got to Trust God for He is faithful.)

* He obeyed the voice of God and followed the instructions exactly though it sounded illogical. (Obedience is better than sacrifice.)

* He overcame his fears and timidity and put his faith into action. (Faith without action is dead.)

* Gideon recognised his authority in God. (We got to know who we are in Christ.)

* He did not depend on the quantity of his army but depended 100 percent on God’s favour and strength. (We got to depend on God and not men.)

Amen.
